How it works

We may not be responsible for the world that created our minds, but we can take responsibility for the mind with which we create our world.

I really enjoy working with people who feel stuck or disconnected in their lives. Your struggles may be connected to anxiety, depression, or addiction; sometimes difficult past experiences or traumatic losses create a feeling of being lost or stagnant. Together we’ll explore your story and beliefs so you can move past stuck places and into a fuller, more vibrant life. My approach is rooted in compassion, humor, and insight, with the goal of taking your growth beyond therapy and into your daily life.

Individual sessions are around 50 minutes long and cost $150.  A sliding fee scale is available. I am a Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO provider; for all other plans, your insurance company may reimburse a percentage of your therapy costs. To find out what is available, contact your provider and ask about your out-of-network mental health benefits.

We’ll work together to create a step-by-step plan tailored to your needs and strengths.

My life as a social worker has left me in awe of the human ability to heal and grow after difficulty and loss. Interested in nearly every approach to healing, I’ve  been trained in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Accelerated Experiential-Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), trauma and substance abuse recovery, body-centered and arts approaches to wellness, and acceptance and mindfulness practices. Most crucially, over a decade of mental health practice overseas and in Chicago—from youth and foster families on the South Side, mural arts and restorative justice on the West Side, young women in an Armenian village to young professionals in Wicker Park—has privileged me with a wide range of perspectives and an ability to quickly assess situations with both humor and empathy.
